Description : The name Ashwagandha is from the Sanskrit language and is a combination of the word ashva, meaning horse, and gandha, meaning smell.

Propagation : Ashwagandha is propagated from seeds. In India, it is cultivated in regions with low rainfall right after the pre-monsoon in the beginning of rainy season in hot and humid conditions in temperature around 75 – 85 F (25 – 30 C).

English :Winter cherry
Bengali : Asvagandha, Dhuppa
Telgu : Ashvagandhi, Dommadolu
Malyalam : Amukkiram, Amukkuram

Medicinal uses : Rheumatism, Gout, Hypertension, Immune enhancer,Joint pain , etc
